“ Smash Shack in Delaware has quickly become one of our favorite spots! From the very first visit, I was blown away by how welcoming the owner, Jesse, was—such a nice and inviting presence. Stephen, the manager, is an absolute rockstar. His glowing, positive attitude is infectious, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about the customer experience. Every single staff member we’ve encountered has been amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. At this point, Smash Shack has almost become a weekly tradition for us. My fiance isn’t usually a fan of burgers, but she loves this place! I always go for a double burger and wings, while she gets a single burger and chicken tenders. And honestly, we don’t eat out often—both for health reasons and to save on costs—but Smash Shack is worth every single calorie! One thing I really appreciate is how they price their burgers and toppings. The base price is super affordable, and they charge per topping, so you only pay for what you actually want. Even if you load up on toppings, the final price still beats or matches comparable places. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this is feedback I’ve been meaning to share because Smash Shack really deserves the praise. It’s a level above that other place with the “five guys.” Trust me—Smash Shack crushes it! ”

“ Let’s talk about the service first... exceptional! You’re warming and enthusiastically greeted when you walk in. The sweet tea tastes like you’re sitting on the back porch of a house somewhere in the south. Now the food... hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Period. I’m pretty plain so I only get cheese, lettuce and pickles but my goodness the patties are seriously PACKED full of flavor. Absolutely delicious. I also got the waffle fries because who doesn’t like waffle fries!? So, so good. Seriously this place is insanely delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try something else. Easily my new favorite place for a burger. ”

“ Ordered online- food was ready right on time. Everything was hot. Great burger- my husband liked the chimney sauce, I thought it was a bit too sweet since I didn’t get lettuce tomato onion on my burger to balance it out. Onion rings were perfectly crisp and flavorful. Fries were made better by yummy cheese sauce. The chicken nuggets were also really great- kinda reminded me of sweet and sour fried chicken from Chinese restaurants minus the sauce. And my picky eater kid ate almost all of the 1/2pound of them. We ate in the car since we were in a hurry, but there was some seating inside. It’s a plain and simple kinda space- nothing fancy, but the food is GREAT! ”

“ Super clean inside and the owner/chef was so friendly! Man though, that burger was insanely tasty! If you’re near here, stop in for sure. You will not be disappointed! Sorry ate my burger and rings before I thought to take a picture. It looked as good as it tasted though! ”

“ The food is definitely worth the money spent. If you want cheap and tasteless, go to McDonald’s (though cheap isn’t accurate). Each time I’ve ordered, it has been 100% accurate, no matter how busy they are. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, unlike most restaurants these days. If you want great food, great service, and a very reasonable price ( less expensive than 5 Guys), you really gotta get burgers here. I’d give a 10/10 recommendation all the way. ”

“ Stopped in after passing it a dozen times, had a lovely chat with the owner. Great guy and even better food. Got a bacon cheeseburger and fries and mannnnn did it hit the spot. Burger was so hot and fresh, delicious beef patty, and the chimney sauce adds just the right bite. Seriously was delicious, no hassle, no bs, just good food. ”

“ Great food, great prices, and great experience. Jesse(owner I believe) was very welcoming and friendly. He was super helpful as well. The touch screen ordering station was well thought out. It ensures that each customer’s order is as they want it(ex:asks if salt is wanted/not wanted, if ketchup or sauces are needed, if toppings are needed, if wings should be extra crispy). We tried the smash burgers, chili cheese dog, wings, fries, and craft soda. Everything came out perfectly. I especially recommend trying the Cola, it tastes even better than Coke! You must also try the Chimney sauce it is amazing!! This was a great first visit for us and we will definitely be back for more! ”
